Title page vignette of a kneeling slave by Bewick and large folding diagram (171/2x11 inches) showing in detail the hold of a slave ship. Large 12mo, original publisher's drab blue-gray wrappers with paper spine, lettered in ink; earlier bookseller's pencil description with catalogue entry, carefully tipped to the front free end-paper; some light foxing.
